Reducing

When a tree is situated within a limited space and is growing too large for its surroundings, one solution is to reduce the overall size of the tree's crown.   At Tree Fellas it is our policy always to reduce a tree back to points of growth to ensure minimum stress to the tree and we recommend a maximum reduction of approximately 30% for the same reason.   That said, some trees such as willows, poplar and sycamore, respond to heavier amounts of work, whilst trees such as birch and beech need to be treated sensitively
